The Process

I did a "Process Series" for SportsStop.com and LaxDip.com.

The Tools

you can see a list in this post.

Mix

Mix that dye - 8quarts (2 gal) + 1 single shot.

Mask

Mask out where you don't want dye. Vinyl, Vinyl tape, hot glue etc

Dip Dat!

Some use a multi layered vinyl system - I removed all mask for each step on this one. There was some bleed, but mostly crisp.

Next Color

Re-mask, re-dip with Fire Red

Logo, Yikes

Logo turned out good - minor bleed - YIKES. major bleed on stripe. An air bubble to blame. Relax, finish the rest, and well figure out a fix.

Next Color

e-mask, re-dip with Brilliant Blue.

subtle

Since this is Herbie the love bug - and he is a cream color - masking off all colors and anything I want to be WHITE. But Cream??

How??

how do we do THAT?!? Color test with LaxDip testers using #LaxDipEcru

ooooh

Mission Accomplished.

Done

Dye finished with fix for all the bleed - which added some bleed...look, not perfect but the cream / white looks amazing.
